Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of parts joining operation and to achieve higher reliability of aluminum conductors, by welding the end portions of conductor bars to the nearly T-shaped spacers each being disposed between two adjacent bars to form the end ring of the cage rotor. CONSTITUTION:At the end portions of conductor bars 12 disposed in the slots of rotor core 1, there is provided between each pair of adjacent bars 12 a nearly T-shaped spacer 13 consisting of the same material as the bars 12 to form circular ring part 13. Then, the bars 12 and the spacers 13 forming the circular ring part 13 are welded by electron beam welding or laser welding, as shown at P, to be joined together for forming the end ring. Thus, the annular part formed on the inner circumferential side of the spacers 13 will serve as a backing member during the welding, so that the efficiency of parts joining operation as well as the reliablity of joined sections of conductors, wherein aluminum is used as a conductor material, can be improved.
