To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic honeycomb structure in which a honeycomb molding after an extruding step is not deformed even when the molding is dried in the state in which the molding is disposed so that the molding becomes a direction inclined from a vertical direction.
The method for manufacturing the ceramic honeycomb structure comprises an extruding step 10 of molding the honeycomb molding 50, a cutting step 20 of cutting the molding 50 in a desired length, a drying step 30 of drying the molding 50, and a baking step 40 of baking the molding 50. The method further comprises the steps of alternately performing heating steps 301, 303 in the state in which the molding 50 is disposed so that the axial direction becomes the direction inclined from the vertical direction and a rotating step 302 of changing the disposing state by rotating the molding, in the drying step 30, thereby manufacturing the ceramic honeycomb structure 1.
