Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a setter for firing a ceramic core used for the casting of molten metal to scarcely deform.
A green ceramic setter is formed by molding a mixture containing ceramic particles and a binder, Next, the green ceramic setter is placed on a metal made supporting member having a ventilation means 2 to make air flow into the back surface of the green ceramic setter. The green ceramic setter placed on the supporting member is charged into a firing hood to burn a binder volatile component in the green ceramic setter on both surfaces of the green ceramic setter.
