To obtain a container capable of being treated as a combustible refuse or buried waste refuse after its use and not connected with the exhaustion of global resources by using a sheath of a bamboo sprout of a very fast growth as a material of the container.

A method for manufacturing the container made of the sheath of the bamboo sprout comprises; 1. a step of cleaning the sheath of the bamboo sprout, dipping in a water tank or the like and removing a lye; 2. a step of washing the sheath, and then drying the sheath; 3. a step of forming a curved shape of the sheath in a flat shape; 4. a cutting step of cutting the sheath formed in the flat shape to a shape of a suitable sizes; 5. a step of superposing several sheaths by alternatively setting vein directions of the sheaths via an animal/plant and/or inorganic adhesives to form a thick plate-like material; and 6. a step of pressing the plate-like material, and forming the material in a shape of a part of the container such as a lunch box, a tray or the like or a part of the container.
