To provide a method for manufacturing a cork-like foam paper container with an appearance and an irregularity similar to those of cork imparted to the container, without using any cork.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a cork-like foam paper container is a method for manufacturing a foam paper container obtained through: molding a vertically-opening cylindrical barrel member by base material paper including a thermoplastic synthetic resin layer D of a high-melting point disposed on one face of base paper C and a thermoplastic synthetic resin layer B of a low melting point having a printed layer A on an outer side thereof disposed on the other face of the base paper, respectively, so that the printed layer is on the outer side; integrating a bottom member to the barrel member to form a container body; and heating the container body to foam the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer of a low melting point. The printed layer has a cork pattern. By forming the cork pattern through gravure printing using a plurality of inks for foaming, the foaming of the synthetic resin layer having the printed layer can be adjusted to form a foamed surface having fine irregularity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
