To provide a method for manufacturing a decorative panel for a building for efficiently producing the panel obtained by laminating a decorative material on a solid-like base material which is relatively scarcely permeated by water without reducing a beauty of the material in a factory.

The method for manufacturing a decorative panel 7 for a building comprises the steps of placing a film-like mold 2 molded by templating a desired convexo-concave reverse relief pattern on a rigid plate-like material 1, coating an inside face of the mold 2 with a first decorative material composition 3 obtained by dispersing aggregate in a synthetic resin emulsion, then drying it, and removing the mold. The method further comprises the steps of preparing a solid-like base material 5 which is relatively scarcely permeated by water, coating its surface with an adhesive second decorative material composition 4 in which the aggregate is dispersed in a synthetic resin emulsion similar to the composition 3, and press-bonding to adhere a rear side of the dried and solidified material 3 obtained by the previous step thereonto before the composition 4 is dried, thereby obtaining the panel 7.
