Abstract:
To make a disc rotor which facilitates mechanical cutting work while being excellent in thermal conductivity, hardness and anticorrosion.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a disc rotor includes mixing in a mixing step S10 of a material powder, pure aluminium powder (commercial grade) and hard particles with a particle size of 0.1-30 μm so as to bring a content of the hard particles to 1-30 wt.%. Due to that pure aluminum is excellent in processability, thermal conductivity and anticorrosion but low in hardness, compared to aluminium alloy, hardness is improved by the addition of the hard particles. Furthermore, a particle size of the hard particles to be added is 0.1-30 μm, and a content is 1-30 wt.% so as to suppress as much as possible an affluence to processability and thermal conductivity while improving hardness. With this, it is possible to make the disc rotor which is excellent in a total balance in processability, thermal conductivity, anticorrosion and hardness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
