To provide a method of manufacturing a dust core, capable of reducing variations in filling amount of a metal magnetic powder to a molding die.
In manufacturing the dust core, first, the metal magnetic powder is mixed with a spherical silica powder (step S11). Then, the metal magnetic power is subjected to rust prevention processing (step S12), and then, a mixture of the metal magnetic powder and the spherical silica powder is mixed with a resin binder (step S13). The mixture of the metal magnetic powder, the spherical silica powder and the resin binder is dried to form a granulated body (step S14). Then, the granulated body is additionally mixed with the spherical silica powder (step S15), and further mixed with a lubricant such as zinc stearate (step S16). Then, compression molding is performed (step S17), and the resin binder is cured (step S18).
