Abstract:

To provide dye solution that enables simple and uniform dye absorption in a dye absorption step to a porous semiconductor fine particle layer of a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element having a photoelectrode layer consisting of dye-sensitized porous semiconductor fine particles on a conductive substrate.

In a method for adsorbing sensitized dye to semiconductor particles in a dye-sensitized solar battery having a photoelectrode layer consisting of dye-sensitized porous semiconductor fine particles, an electrolytic solution layer, and a counter electrode in this order on a conductive substrate, a method of manufacturing a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element makes the porous semiconductor fine particles adsorb sensitized dye by using dye solution containing the sensitized dye and at least one kind of a 6-12C saturated aliphatic dicarboxylic acid.
