Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte solution for a magnesium secondary battery, which can impart good charge/discharge efficiency, and is arranged by use of an electrolyte which can be handled safely even under the condition of no solvent.SOLUTION: An electrolyte solution comprises a magnesium complex, and an ether-based solvent. In the electrolyte solution, the magnesium complex includes: a ligand originating from a compound (a) or a compound (b) described below; a halogen atom; and a magnesium atom. The compound (a) is a compound which includes, in one molecule, at least two kinds of atoms selected from a group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur, phosphorus and selenium, and at least four carbon atoms; and the compound (b) is a compound which includes, in one molecule, at least two nitrogen atoms, and at least four carbon atoms (other than the compound (a)).SELECTED DRAWING: None
