Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing a large area carbon nanotube in which the adhesion property between field emission substance such as a carbon nanotube and an electrode, life time and field emission property are improved.

The method of manufacturing a field emitter comprising a step of forming a conduction layer patterned on a substrate, a step of applying a mixture containing field emission substance and metal powder on the conduction layer and heat-processing it to improve adhesion property for the conduction layer and a step of deleting the field emission substance and metal substance in a region excepting the conduction layer.
