Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fluorescent lamp, in which stabilization of a light emission characteristics and discharging characteristics of the fluorescent lamp can be realized, and in which crack formation at a connection between glass tubes during handling and illumination of the fluorescent lamp can be prevented.
SOLUTION: Two glass tubes are positioned adjacent to each other in parallel. Each of scheduled connections positioned near the opening end of the glass tube is heated from the inside to form a welding part. The welding parts are tapped and pressed preliminary from the inside using a hammer, and then tapped and pressed fully, to perforate and to form a connection. The opening ends near the connection are then melted through heating, closed, and then molded.
