To provide a doctor blade for gravure printing capable of certainly removing a surplus transferred material despite printing for a long time in a gravure printing device.
The doctor blade 1 is formed of a contact part 10 which comes into contact with the transfer part 20 of a gravure roll 2 and both end parts 11 which do not come into contact with a non-transfer part 21 of the gravure roll 2 formed at both ends of the contact part 10 in the way that the contact part 10 protrudes to the gravure roll 2 side rather than both end parts 11. In addition, the edge of the contact part 10 is formed almost to the same shape as the surface of the gravure roll 2, and the angle part 100 at both ends of the contact part 10 of the doctor blade 1 is worked like a curved surface with a specified curvature radius. After that, the contact part 10 of the doctor blade 1 is fitted to the transfer part 20 of the gravure roll 2 while a specified pressure force is applied, with the help of a doctor blade retaining member 4 for retaining the doctor blade 1 and a pressurizing mechanism 5.
