To provide an intaglio plate for reverse printing, which possesses no defect in resolution and quality of a printing plate, which defect are caused by discharge of static electricity, when used in a reverse printing method using the glass intaglio plate as the printing plate and which can form a desired optimum image pattern correctly when used in the reverse printing method for forming the high-definition pattern.
The method for manufacturing the intaglio plate for reverse printing, which has one or more plate depths, comprises the steps of: depositing a metallic thin film on the surface of a glass substrate for the printing plate; patterning the metallic thin film; etching the glass substrate for the printing plate through an opening of the patterned metallic thin film to form a concave shape; and repeating these three steps once or more. The patterns of the metallic thin film are composed of printing patterns and auxiliary patterns each of which is used for connecting an isolated pattern in the printing patterns electrically to a surrounding pattern.
