Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the slipping of a pile yarn and the peeling and waving of fabrics by a method wherein a precoated layer is arranged in a vulcanized state, an unvulcanized rubber sheet is pressed on the layer under heating to simultaneously accomplish an integration of the both and a vulcanization of the rubber sheet part. CONSTITUTION: A fabric 1 employs a mat material in which a pile yarn 2 is made tufty while the tip thereof is cut clean. A rubber latex containing a vulcanizing agent and a vulcanization promoter is applied on a rear surface (stitched surface) of the fabric 1 and vulcanized to form a precoated layer 3. Then, the precoat mat material thus obtained and an unvulcanized rubber sheet 4 containing rubber, the vulcanizing agent and the vulcanization promoter all of which are respectively same as those of the precoated layer 3 are laminated with the precoat layer so as to face the rubber sheet 4 and pressed under a heating. The fabric 1 herein used is made of an acetalized polyvinyl alcohol fiber or the like. The pile yarn 2 herein used is a multi-filament yarn made of a synthetic fiber such as a nylon fiber. An elastomer used in the rubber latex and the rubber sheet is a nitrile-butadien rubber. Sulfur is used as the vulcanizing agent and 2-mercaptobezothiazole is used as the vulcanization promoter.
