Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an isoindoline dye capable of exhibiting high contrast.SOLUTION: The method for producing an isoindoline dye according to the present invention includes the steps of: bringing a solid of an isoindoline dye (A) into contact with an acid (Z) under such conditions that the amount of water is 100 pts.mass or less based on 100 pts.mass of the isoindoline dye (A) and then removing the acid (Z) by solid-liquid separation; and bringing the solid of the isoindoline dye (A) after acid removal into contact with water and then removing the water by solid-liquid separation.SELECTED DRAWING: None
