Abstract:

To prevent the generation of a liquid crystal display unevenness caused by UV irradiation for curing a mold, in a liquid crystal device formed by using a UV curing type mold.

The method of manufacturing the liquid crystal device consists of sticking a pair of substrates to each other by using a sealing material and sealing a liquid crystal in a liquid crystal sealing region enclosed by the sealing material. The method comprises a stage (P13, P18) for forming a UV curing type capping material and a mold on at least one of the pair of substrates and a UV irradiation stage (P14, P19) for curing the mold and the like by irradiating the mold and the like with UV. In the UV irradiation stage, the mold and the like are irradiated with UV and at the same time, the entire surface of the liquid crystal sealing region is also irradiated with UV so that the uniform optical characteristics are ensured for the whole liquid crystal.
