Abstract:
To suppress variation in density due to a conveyance error in conveying of a medium.
This liquid jet device comprises a conveyance mechanism for conveying a medium S to a nozzle for ejecting liquid in a conveyance direction, an upstream side nozzle group, and a downstream side nozzle group which is positioned at the downstream side of the upstream side nozzle group in the conveyance direction. The liquid jet device includes a step of detecting a periodic speed change generated by the conveyance error and a step of determining an interval X between the upstream side nozzle group and the downstream side nozzle group according to the speed change.
