Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition excellent in all of tone of a resin pellet, impregnating properties, long-term properties, and appearance of a molded product.SOLUTION: The process for manufacturing a long fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition includes: a first step which comprises pelletizing a strand obtained by impregnating a fiber-reinforced loving with a molten polyamide resin to give a first resin pellet; and a second step which comprises heating the first resin pellet at the temperature lower than a melting point of the polyamide resin, followed by a solid phase polymerization to give a second resin pellet, wherein a relative viscosity in sulfuric acid of the polyamide resin (ηr) is 1.80-2.40, concentration of both of the terminal amino group and the terminal carboxyl group of the first resin pellet is not less than 50 meq/kg, and a relative viscosity in sulfuric acid of the second resin pellet (ηr) is 2.60-5.00.
