Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a metal-coated resin product, which improves adhesion between a resin substrate and a metal layer formed on a surface of the resin substrate and suppresses a decrease in the plating rate of electroplating applied on the metal layer.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a metal-coated resin product according to an embodiment comprises: a pretreatment step of forming an alloy layer composed of an alloy containing Pd and a metal having a lower ionization tendency than hydrogen on a surface of a resin substrate having at least one of a COO group and a CN group by a physical vapor deposition method or a chemical vapor deposition method, thereby coordinately bonding Pd in the alloy layer to at least one of the COO group and the CN group; and a step of forming a metal plating layer on the alloy layer by an electroplating method.SELECTED DRAWING: None
