Abstract:
To provide a method for effectively manufacturing an aluminum nitride powder in which a metal element is uniformly dispersed, which is used for manufacturing an aluminum nitride sintered body having various properties derived from the contained metal, at a dry system without using a wet method.SOLUTION: When a raw material powder to be supplied to a reduction nitriding process in which an aluminum oxide powder, carbon and a metal compound to be added are mixed, is prepared, one or more kind of metal compound selected from oxide, nitride, carbide, carbonate of a metal is used as the metal compound, and mixing aluminum oxide and the metal compound is conducted with at least 2 steps or more including a first mixing process for preliminarily mixing in a mixing device having a stirring wing, and then a second mixing process for mixing a ball mill. Examples of the metal compound include a compound of Ca, Mg, Zn, Y, La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu, Ti, Zr, Sn, Hf, V, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: None
