Abstract:

To provide a metal nanoparticle dispersion having satisfactory dispersibility to a desired dispersion solvent, to provide a method for producing the metal nanoparticle dispersion, and to provide an aggregate of the metal nanoparticles.

The aggregate 1 of metal nanoparticles having the properties of being dispersed to a polar solvent, and in which the surfaces are coated with an organic compound Y having a carboxyl group, and having satisfactory dispersibility to a dispersion solvent C comprising polyhydric alcohol ether is provided. Further, a metal nanoparticle dispersion in which the metal nanoparticles 1 are dispersed is used. The protective agent Y is covered by the substitution reaction of the organic compound, and the organic compound X covered before the substitution reaction has affinity to nonpolar substance and also has an unsaturated bond.
