Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nickel bearing bar steel capable of easily and completely prevent nickel flaws likely to be generated on the nickel bearing bar steel represented by nickel-molybdenum steel, nickel- chromium steel and the like.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the nickel bearing bar steel comprises in the order named a pre-treatment process (STP1) to form a billet composed of the nickel bearing steel, a surface layer removing process (STP2) to remove scale layers of the billet surface and nickel thickening layers, a heating process (STP3) to heat the billet to hot-working temperature, a descaling process (STP4) to remove scale layers on the surface of the billet with spray of a high-pressure water jet, and a rolling process (STP5) to execute hot-rolling to the billet.
