To provide a firing furnace having scarce maintenance burdens and enabling a degreasing process and a firing process which can produce a sintered compact of a specified quality, and a manufacturing method using the firing furnace.
The firing furnace includes a chamber which can be closed, a heating room disposed in the camber and provided with a heater, a first exhaust pipe connected to the chamber, a first vacuum pump connected thereto, a second exhaust pipe connected directly to the heating room, a collecting device for collecting a binder constituent in an exhaust gas connected thereto, and a second vacuum pump. Further, the method of manufacturing a non-oxide ceramic sintered compact comprises carrying out continuously the degreasing process and the firing process using the firing furnace.
