Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical element that can prevent the surface of a resin substrate from being influenced by mirror surface treatment when performing mirror surface treatment on an inner wall surface of a trench.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an optical element includes the steps of: forming a trench 34 in a surface 31A of a resin substrate by dicing; bringing a plate-like member 71 with an opening 71H in a position corresponding to the trench 34 into contact with a surface of the resin substrate; and applying heat to inner wall surfaces 34a and 34c of the trench from the opening 71H to perform mirror surface treatment on the inner wall surfaces. The member is brought into contact with a surface of the resin substrate so that the member 71 covers the surface 31A of the resin plate 10N and overlaps with corner edge parts 35a and 35b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
