To provide a method for manufacturing an optical waveguide by which the generation of defective filling for the gap between cores is controlled.
In the method for manufacturing the optical waveguide having a process for forming the cores 6 on a substrate 1 and a process for forming a clad layer 7 so as to cover the cores 6, a process for performing heat treatment in a vacuum after forming the clad layer 7 is prepared.
