A method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescent display device includes the steps of: coating a protection liquid 105, in which an EML 103 is not dissolved, on the surfaces of normal pixels B1, B2 arranged around a defective pixel A; performing a repair of the defective pixel A; and removing the protection liquid 105 coated on the normal pixels B1, B2.
