To provide a polymerized toner which excels in cleanability by a cleaning blade even during durable printing, is free of degradation in image density and is free of fogging, and also provide a method for manufacturing the polymerized toner and an image forming method using the polymerized toner.
The method for manufacturing the polymerized toner includes a process (I) of obtaining a polymerizable monomer composition dispersion liquid containing a polymerizable monomer and a colorant by putting the polymerizable monomer composition into an aqueous medium containing a dispersion stabilizer, performing granulation of the polymerizable monomer composition, a process (II) of forming colored polymerized particles by polymerizing the obtained polymerizable monomer composition, in which the polymerized toner is manufactured by the method comprising adding an alkali hydroxide metal (b) to the polymerizable monomer dispersion before the point of the time the polymerization conversion rate in the process (II) attains 90% after the process (I) and the image formation is performed by using the polymerized toner manufacturing by the method.
