Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a printed product in a digital printer and a manufacturing device equipped with at least one post-processing device arranged on the downstream side of the digital printer.SOLUTION: A printer 2 prints on a printing material web 7. A post-processing device 3 forms a printed product 1 by post-processing the printing material web, but a manufacturing device 5 switches equipment when requiring to manufacture the printed product 1 different from a preceding manufacturing job by a succeeding manufacturing job. First of all, a period is calculated for a setting change of the post-processing device requiring the longest setting change time. The post-processing device to change the setting immediately starts the setting change when the last printed product of the preceding manufacturing job leaves this post-processing device. The post-processing device to change the setting immediately starts execution of a succeeding manufacturing job when the calculated period for the setting change of the post-processing device passes after starting the setting change.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
