To provide a means for stably simply removing a solution for forming a DNA probe attached to the vicinity of an exhaust port in a method of manufacturing a probe carrier and a device of manufacturing the probe carrier.
This method of manufacturing the probe carrier is that each of plural kinds of probes capable of specifically bonding to a labeling substance is fixed in the form of two-dimensional array on a carrier. The manufacturing method is composed of a process for applying a plurality of probe solutions containing each probe from a discharge port onto the carrier with a probe solution discharge head having a plurality of discharge ports corresponding to plural kinds of probes; and a process for removing liquid drops in the vicinity of the discharge port of the probe solution discharge head, and in the process for removing the liquid drops in the vicinity of the discharge port of the probe solution discharge head, physical force is applied in almost the vertical direction to the arrangement direction of the discharge ports. The device of manufacturing the probe carrier utilizes this method.
