Abstract:
To provide a production method of resin beads capable of replacing resin beads formed of synthetic materials derived from petroleum, which can provide various products such as cosmetics provided with excellent tactile sensation, spreading on skin, transparency, and product stability.SOLUTION: The production method comprises: a dispersion preparation step where a dispersion containing oil droplets including a cellulose derivative and an organic solvent is prepared by mixing an oil phase which includes a cellulose derivative and an organic solvent which dissolves the cellulose derivative and has a solubility in water of 0.1 to 50.0 g and an aqueous phase including a dispersion stabilizer; and an oil droplet shrinking step of making the oil droplets shrink by adding water to the dispersion, where water is added to the dispersion so that a content of the organic solvent in the dispersion satisfies the following formula (A) until the content becomes equal to or less than the solubility of the organic solvent in water: (W/S)/T≤1.00 (A), where W is an amount of water added (pts.mass); S is an amount of the dispersion (pts.mass); and T is an addition time (minutes).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
