Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a silicon carbide heater for easily manufacturing a silicon carbide heater of a desired shape.
The method includes a first step of placing a carbon (C) sheet in a crucible containing a silicon (Si) powder and a second step of heating the crucible in a nitrogen atmosphere to impregnate the sheet with a silicon gas to react and sinter. By impregnating the carbon sheet with a silicon gas in a nitrogen atmosphere to react and sinter, the carbon sheet is converted into silicon carbide with smoothness and conductivity imparted thereto, which means that by preliminarily processing a carbon sheet in a desired shape, a silicon carbide heater in a desired shape can be easily manufactured.
