To provide a method for manufacturing a silver halide photosensitive material for forming an image which has a uniform finish free from density unevenness due to coating, and suitable for producing a proof image which has a uniform finish free from density unevenness particularly due to coating and exposure, and with which the finish of prints is checked beforehand, and to provide a dot area image forming method using the same.
The silver halide photosensitive material has on a support at least one each of yellow, magenta and cyan developing layers and other photographic constituent layers, and in the manufacture of the photosensitive material, the viscosity of a coating liquid for each of the first and second color developing layers from the support is adjusted to 45-90 mPa s.
