Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SMALL PARTICLE DIAMETER CELLULOSE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012111840
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method capable of obtaining efficiently small particle diameter cellulose having a reduced cellulose I-type crystallization index and a reduced average particle diameter from a cellulose-containing raw material.

This method for manufacturing small particle diameter cellulose having an average particle size of ≤40 μm, whose cellulose I-type crystallization index shown by a following calculation formula (1) is ≤35%, has following step I and step II: cellulose I-type crystallization index (%)=[(I22.6-I18.5)/I22.6]×100 [I22.6 shows a diffraction intensity on a lattice plane (002 plane) (angle of diffraction 2θ=22.6°) in X-ray diffraction, and I18.5 shows a diffraction intensity of an amorphous part (angle of diffraction 2θ=18.5°)]. Step I: a step of obtaining amorphous cellulose by treating the cellulose-containing raw material by using a vibration mill filled with a rod having an outer diameter of 20-50 mm until the cellulose I-type crystallization index shown by the formula (1) becomes ≤35%, and step II: a step of pulverizing the amorphous cellulose obtained in the step I by a high-speed rotating pulverizer.
