Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method for safely manufacturing a sulfenamide compound, which is useful as a rubber vulcanizing agent, a physiologically active substance and the like, in a high yield without using a harmful reagent.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the sulfenamide compound represented by the reaction formula comprises reacting an S-(1-benzimiazolyl)-2-mercaptobenzoate compound with an amine compound. In the reaction formula, R1 is a 1-6C chain aliphatic group or the like; R2 and R3 are each H, a 1-12C chain or 4-12C cyclic aliphatic group or a 4-12C aromatic group; R2 and R3 may be linked together to form a ring together with N; R4 is an alkyl group, a halogen atom or the like; and n is 0-4.
