Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem of a prior art such that, in the conventional manufacturing process for a surface mount type component, a transparent resin is injected and filled to form a lens and hence the shape is unstable and bubbles may be contained to result in an unstable performance of the surface-mounted component and produce defectives, thereby lowering the yield and raising the cost.
SOLUTION: A lens 7 is formed by a transfer molding method, thereby stabilizing the shape of the lens 7 and a avoiding involving bubbles. This stabilizes the characteristics of a surface-mounted component 1 and provides a manufacturing method suited also to the mass production.
