To provide a method of manufacturing a tire forming mold by which non-flat surface division of an annular mold portion is simple and easy and end surfaces of sectors can be closely attached to each other at high precision, and to provide the tire forming mold.
The method of manufacturing the tire forming mold, in which the annular mold portion 1 is constituted by a combination of sectors 5A to 5G divided in a tire circumferential direction, includes: a step of manufacturing a circular arc-shaped inner segment provided with a concavo-convex shape at an inner peripheral surface; a step of dividing the inner segment by the non-flat surface division, so as to obtain a first segment piece 11a and a second segment piece 11b; and a step of incorporating the first segment piece 11a into an inner peripheral side of a back segment 7A of the sector 5A out of a pair of sectors 5A, 5B which are adjacent to each other in the tire circumferential direction, incorporating the second segment piece 11b into an inner peripheral side of a back segment 7B of the sector 5B and arranging the non-flat surface divided surface at end surfaces of the sectors 5A, 5B.
