To provide a method of manufacturing toner which is excellent in charging stability and is excellent in fogging after cartridge replacement.
The method of manufacturing toner includes a process (process 1) of melt-kneading raw material containing at least binder resin and colorant, cooling kneaded raw material and, thereafter, coarsely crushing cooled kneaded raw material; and a process (process 2) of further pulverizing the coarsely crushed material in the existence of external additive containing inorganic oxide and classifying the pulverized material, wherein the binder resin includes crystalline resin and amorphous resin, the crystalline resin contains a composite resin including a polycondensation type resin component obtained by condensation polymerizing an alcohol component containing a 2-10C aliphatic diol and a carboxylic acid component containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid compound and a styrene type resin component, the weight ratio (polycondensation type resin component/styrene type resin component) of the polycondensation type resin component to the styrene type resin component in the composite resin is 30/70 to 95/5 and the content of the composite resin in the binder resin is 5 to 40 wt.%.
