Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing toner by polymerization process which can efficiently and uniformly clean the surfaces of respective toner particles, can stably maintain a high image density in forming images by the resulted toners and can yield the toners having the excellent image characteristics not giving rise to fogging, etc.
SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing toner in which toner is manufactured by cleaning and dehydrating the toner synthesized in an aqueous medium by filtering means and drying the resulted colored polymer particles in a moist state by drying means, is characterized in that the filtering means is a belt filter of a vacuum type and the vacuum suction in this belt filter is performed separately in the central part of the belt and the end rising part of the belt.
