To provide means and method for easily, cost effectively and automati cally performing the manufacture of earth boring tools moving to manufacturing and fabricating from a design step to a prototype step at a high speed with high reliability.
The method of making a high-speed prototype mold for parts of the earth boring tools for the purpose of manufacturing these tools comprises initially optimizing a drill bit design and integrating the design into a CAD. The CAD codes are used to generate a prototype file in a computer outputting command signals to a laser and laser scanner for the purpose of manufacturing the prototype of the mold by using stereolithography, selective laser sintering or a method of manufacturing a laminated object in addition to the other prototype techniques for manufacturing the earth boring tool parts.
