Abstract:
To provide a printer, a facsimile or the like which can skip white spaces however image blocks are laid out in an image segment.
A white space between a previous image block and a next image block is detected (S101b). A marking element is positioned adjacent to an output start position of the next image block on a recording medium. The next image block is marked on the recording medium with use of a minimum number of marking swaths (S106 and S108).
