Title:
METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT OF INTERNAL INFORMATION OF OBJECT TO BE MEASURED FROM OUTSIDE BY APPLYING NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE PHENOMENON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5794638
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure the information on the nuclear magnetic materials existing in the specific positions within an object to be measured by utilizing the fact that the resonance frequency of the specific position is proportional to the magnetic field of that position and superposing the specific magnetic field on only said position.

CONSTITUTION: The magnetic field H0 of magnets 1, 1' and the magnetic field Hs of scanning coils 3, 3' are superposed on a position 6 to be measured, and since the magnetic field intensity (Ho+ΔHs) exists, the resonance angular frequency ωs of that position is given by the equation (Δs=ΔHs/Ho). Hence, the discrimination of the specific position in an object 2 to be measured and the positions other than this is possible by discriminating the resonance frequency of the specific position having a deviation by Δs with respect to the resonance frequencies of the other positions. The scanning coils 3, 3' are designed to differ the static magnetic field intensities by ΔHs between the position 6 to be measured and other positions, and the discrimination from other structure is made easy by differing the magnetic field intensities in this way from the outside and differing the relaxation time of the specific structure in the position 6 by inplanting suitable paramagnetic ions.
