Abstract:
To provide a method for measurement for continuously and precisely measuring molten metal quantity in a tundish relaying a fed molten metal to a mold.SOLUTION: A tundish is almost rectangular and has an inside face comprising the two step bottoms of a deep bottom part having a take-out port at the bottom part and a shallow bottom part to be fed with a molten metal from the upper part sandwiching a step part along the longitudinal direction thereof, further, the front wall face of the deep bottom part comprises a flange part elongating in front almost horizontally along the longitudinal direction, and load cells are supported from the lower direction in the lower part of the shallow bottom part and the flange part, and, the information of molten metal quantity can be given by signals from the load cell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
