PURPOSE: To obtain the highly sensitive, highly accurate measured result in a short time by performing antigen-antibody reaction under the state wherein alternating magnetic fields are applied to a reaction system.
CONSTITUTION: An antigen or an antibody which is an object to be measured is brought into contact with a magnetic particle to which an antibody or an antigen that can be bonded specifically with said antigen or antibody in liquid. Antigen-antibody reaction is made to occur, and an antigen-antibody-magnetic- particle bonded body is grown. The material of the magnetic particle which is used for fixing the antigen or the antibody is not specially limited. The magnetic particle to which the antigen or the antibody is fixed is manufactured by fixing the required antigens or antibodies for the magnetic particles. The kind of the antibody or he antigen which is fixed to the magnetic particle is associated with the specific antigen or antibody which is the object to be measured. The kind is selected in correspondence with the antigen or the antibody in a sample liquid. It is desirable that the antigen-antibody reaction is performed in isotonic salt water solution containing surfactant.
