Abstract:

To precisely measure chemical substance decomposition ability of a photocatalyst held in a sample, under a condition near to an actual environment.

A fixed concentration/flow rate of chemical substance containing air B is supplied to an inside of an evaluation space A arranged with the measuring objective sample 2a holding the photocatalyst, substance transmissibility-controlled air C in the inside of the evaluation space A is brought into contact with the measuring objective sample 2a while irradiating with light from a light source 9a, and chemical substance concentrations of the chemical substance containing air B supplied to the evaluation space A and air D discharged from the inside of the evaluation space A are measured and compared to measure the chemical substance decomposition ability of the photocatalyst in the measuring objective sample 2a.
