To highly sensitively measure a type-II Shigella-like toxin in a human blood.
Immunoreaction is carried out under the presence of calcium ions added, when immunity of the type-II Shigella-like toxin in the human blood is measured using the immunoreaction of the type-II Shigella-like toxin in the human blood with an antibody to a B sub-unit of the type-II Shigella-like toxin or an antigen-coupling fragment thereof. The immunity measurement of the type-II Shigella-like toxin SLT-II in the human blood is realized by adding the calcium ions Ca2+ in a reaction solution. A clinical morbid state of a patient infected by enteric hemorrhagic Escherichia coli is grasped by evaluating a SLT-II concentration in the human blood, in the present invention, a data useful for reference to a therapeutical policy is provided thereby, and it is very effective on clinical application.
