Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold pig iron source melting method and a melting facility which is possible of preheating of a cold pig iron source for the next charge without needing especially a device for carriage supply of a cold pig source to a melting room, and is possible of the extremely efficient melting of a cold pig iron source, and besides can prevent the occurrence of harmful components without needing a large-scale facility.
SOLUTION: This facility posseses a melting furnace 1 which melts an iron scrap 3, a preheating shaft 2 which is directly coupled with its upper part, an arc electrode 6 which melts the iron scrap 3 within the melting furnace 1, a bracket 4 which supplies a preheating shaft 2 with scraps 3 so as to keep such condition that the scraps 3 exist continuously to the melting furnace 1 and the preheating shaft 2, lances 12a and 12b which supplies the melting furnace 1 with oxygen and scraps 3, a rear combustion chamber 17 which is coupled with the preheating shaft 2 and combusts the residue of CO gas later by oxygen-containing gas, and a cooler 21 which cooles the exhaust gas discharged from the post combustion chamber 17, and this facility puts the temperature of the exhaust gas discharged from the post combustion chamber 17 to a specified temperature or over.
