Abstract:

To provide a method for melting treatment of burned ash which eliminates the possibility of steam explosion and reduces treatment costs.

Burned ash is charged in a reactor vessel and melted, followed by separation into molten metal, slag and heavy metal dusts, and recovery. Before being charged in the reactor vessel, the burned ash is dried so as to have a water content of 10% by mass or below.
