To provide a method and equipment, which enable an underwater framework structure to automatically perform centering so as to fit a lower end of a vertical leg 2 into a head part of a pile 3, even if the underwater framework structure is sunk in an approximate position by removing the drawback that a worker cannot perform direct visual observation, when the vertical leg 2 of the huge underwater framework structure is fitted into the head of the pile 3 driven into the bottom of the deep water.
A guide member 1, which is equipped with a bottom surface inclined toward the inside of the vertical leg 2 and whose bottom surface is formed in such a manner shape as not to intrude into a projected plane of the vertical leg 2, is detachably attached to the lower end of the vertical leg 2. When the lower end of the vertical leg 2 abuts on the head part of the pile 3 in the descent of the underwater framework structure to the bottom of the water, the center of the vertical leg 2 is moved in the direction of the center of the pile 3 by the inclined bottom surface of the guide member 1. After the vertical leg 2 is installed on the outer periphery of the pile 3, the guide member 1 is detached from the lower end of the vertical leg 2. The installation method for the underwater framework structure is practiced as above.
