Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elongate antibacterial activity and insect repelling performance, and to include only a metal complexing tropolones and/or phenols in a plant essential oil.SOLUTION: Aqueous solution containing metal ion of a metal for metal-complexing tropolones and/or phenols is brought into contact with a plant essential oil by stirring, and then only a plant essential oil separated in an upper layer of the aqueous solution is collected. Thujopsis essential oil is used as the plant essential oil. Further, copper ion, iron ion or zinc ion is used as the metal ion.
